Rites of Spring.

Before the mosquitos start swarming, the frogs and lizards run amuck here in the south. When it gets warm enough to open up the door, some of the little critters always seem to get through the screens. Last night there was a lizard standing there looking at me like they do. I took one silent flying leap across the living room over the coffee table and up onto the arm of the couch where I perched dancing a jig while DH escorted him out to the yard. Had this been a frog or a toad, it would have been accompanied by shrieks, screaming and shudders. But hey, at least things are greening up finally. Beautiful days and warm nights where windows can be left open... lovely.

Boss will be out tomorrow so I can get caught up on reading my blogroll from the past three weeks. 'bout darn time.

Ms.Blue has her final Phase 1 exam and inspection today. If she passes them then she can put on civilian clothes for the first time at 5:00 tomorrow and wear them (hopefully not the same ones the whole time) until Sunday night. She hasn't worn clothes (LOL that sounds awful!) since a couple of days after Christmas and says she is SOOOO ready. Keep your fingers crossed for her!

AND HEY! DOES ANYBODY KNOW WHAT HAPPENED TO IDGIE?? Her blog is gone and she isn't answering her email. Please send me an email if you have heard from her. Thanks...

hahahaha, that happened at our house the other night too. I was sitting at the computer and something on the window sill caught my eye. I just knew that sucker was going to jump on me (have you ever seen a lizard jump, they freakin fly). Hubby was already in bed, so I cut my computer time short. The next day I had guilt because our little rat terrier was playing with the thing. She actually played with it until it died, poor leetle lizard (yah right!) She kept pawing it, trying to make it move...eek. (lol, does this comment make me sound like a hick, lol...oh well...)

Oh No Jolie! I know exactly. When we had a cat I never had to worry about the darn things but now that we don't, hubby and the kids have to get them out of the house for me!

Idgie shut down her blog, it is already really missed, so she could devote all her blog time to Dew On the Kudzu, and trying to get published. Check out the Dew and see if you can get her to talk to ya.
Glad to hear all is going well with your daughter.
Mom's post today is not encouraging about Penni, so I'm just a little bummed out.
While I had time yesterday I did some more writing on Tig's novel.

It's starting to get spring like here too. Of course it had been a pretty spring like winter until we had a few weeks of actual winter at the beginning of February. But yesterday it was 90 and this weekend and the rest of this week and next it's supposed to be in the 60s and 70s I think so that's more like it! :) Glad to hear you are feeling a little better - hang in there, it's almost the weekend!

Kim!!!!!!!!!!!! I just got one of your emails yesterdy and one this morning from two days ago. I sent you TWO to your work. I think our companies are blocking each other's email!

I sent you a long wordy email but no downsize now, I had written all the stories I could without being recognized and not wanting to turn the Mater into a daily journal... I shut it down and will concentrate of writing stories at the Dew now.

I'll try to send you a longer email again at your home email this weekend.
