A Perfect Christmas.

It was a wonderful weekend, really.
There are absolutely no words to express how it feels when your baby girl is issued her driver's license and an M-16 the same week.
She called from the airport when they arrived and sounded very tired and scared to death.
I burned the rolls at dinner last night.
And I'm still crying...

I can't even imagine what you are going through right now. But it's good to let the tears and emotions flow since you've been holding them back for so long. Hang in there - she'll be done before you know it! :) Let me know if you need anything!

Can you send care packages to her? That seems like fun thing to put together. I'll be she's scared, but I'll bet she's excited, too.

Can't send care packages until her 3rd or 4th week of tech school, after she graduates from basic training... right now we can't even write to her for a couple of weeks.

LOL! They have total control.

YOU WILL GET THROUGH THIS..I promise. She will be back before you know it. Whooo Hooo me and Kim are going back to school. Do you want to smoke some cigs in the bathroom? Do you wanna cut class and get drunk at my house? Oh wait I think my mom will be there. Oh man does this remind me of high school or what. Where is MS.STBB doing her basic at?

They grow up in spite of us. You have taught her well, let her have her wings. Don't let her know how sad you are about her going off. I can't believe Driving license and M-16 at the same time. All my kids and grandkids out there drivers licenses at 16 or 17.

Tigs house is full of drama right now and I am too far away to help any. And the horrible thing is there is nothing any of us can do. But the grandbaby will bear the scars I am afraid.
