That didn't last long...

Peace? Did I just post that a few days ago? HAH. Not in my lifetime.

Not sure if I mentioned or not, DH was gone all week, up in memphis.
Sunday right after he left, the washer broke. It took until today to get the repair man out, still don't know if it will be fixed or not. Then Tuesday, put Lil'dd's wet from the rain shoes into the dryer, and the dryer broke. UGGH. Not fun

The high school principal called yesterday and asked if Lil'DD was with me. She hadn't attended her 5th or 6th period classes and they didn't know where she was. I immediately stopped processing information at that point. I may have even stopped breathing. The rest of the day is actually somewhat of a blur. ...it seems the principal had called Lil"DD out of class yesterday to award her with some special roses that were being given to the top students in some of the classes. When they couldn't find her, they called me. I went to the school and met with the princiapl. She didn't show up for her 7th hour class either. My heart & mind were in overdrive by that time, typical mother worry. So I went out to the parking lot to the regular place I pick her up and waited. I was 17 month. I figured she'd be along shortly.

At the regular time she comes bee-bopping out of the school building with her book bag, smiling and says "Hi Mom. I gotta pee..." I asked her where her flowers were. "What flowers?" she said... I said, "The ones they tried to give you in 5th, 6th and 7th period classes today."

You should have seen her face. You know that BUSTED look teenagers get before they get it all back under control and start lying to you? Yeah, that one. She went there. And looked me straight in the eye and lied, saying, "I was in the bathroom throwing up." ...Oh honey. First of all I'm not stupid, and second... this lying is only going to make things worse...

It took her a little while to come around, but it turns out, a group of kids has been sneaking off to the park every day to hang out and smoke cigarettes. MY BABY. Needless to say, I'm ticked off at the little one right now. Sure, she'll be 18 this year and I understand that she's going to do pretty much whatever the hell she wants, but she needs to at least make wise choices when doing it, right??

SO... this morning, we went to the principals office for our big pow wow. She fessed up to ditching and where she was at. The principal gave her roses from yesterday and told her she's suspended for ditching school. The principal did not address the twenty-two freeking times she's skipped class and nobody notified me. Only the three classes missed yesterday. Oh well. It's not a perfect world. At least they caught her and maybe we can fix this thing before the problem gets any worse...

Thank goodness it's Friday.
I dont' think I can stand any more fun this week...

Talk about no good deed going unpunished. She must be pretty good at hiding things like this. I got caught doing that in 8th grade. Believe it or not it was the last time I ever smoked.

I was always too chicken sh*t to skip school, I was SURE my mom would find out. Snuck out of the house a lot though, and only got caught once (thank god- that was some uncomfortable wrath from the mom)
